Triple Play

Triple Play is a program that teaches members healthy eating habits, how to be physically active, and social/emotional development.  This program runs once a week for 30-45 minutes.

SPARK

SPARK strives to increase the amount of physical activity members participate in through a variety of exercises and sports, which promotes lifelong wellness.  SPARK is offered for an hour, four days a week.

Positive Action

Positive Action uses a curriculum with six units that help youth learn and develop positive self-concepts.  These units include: Self-Concept: It's Definition, Formation and Importance, Physical and Intellectual Positive Actions for a Healthy Self-Concept, Improving Yourself Continually Using Social and Emotional Positive Action, and others.

Homework Help

Homework Help is designed to provide members with additional academic support.  Members have the opportunity to complete all of their homework during this time with the help from staff. This program runs four times a week for 30-45 minutes.

Station Day

Station Day gives members the opportunity to exercise decision making skills by selecting which activity station to participate in.  Stations vary from art projects, iPad time, physical activities, and board games. This program runs once a week for an hour.

Art

Members learn to use various media when creating art, such as: paint, pastels, crayons/colored pencils, and mixed media.  Art projects are created alongside staff to assist younger members.  This program runs once a week for an hour.

Reading Rockets

Reading Rockets is a reading club that encourages members to read books in order to receive "stars".  Once students have a certain number of "stars" on the board they can redeem them for a prize. This program runs once a week for 30 minutes.

Bike Club

Bike Club is a partner-program of SPARK.  It encourages members to get physically active through riding bikes.  Youth also learn about bike maintenance and safety. This program runs once a week for an hour.

Science Club

Science Club works to engage members in STEAM subjects.  Science experiments are staff-guided and explained to members so they understand any reactions or concepts that take place.  This program runs once a week for 30-45 minutes.

STARS

STARS is a peer leader mentoring program that gives students the opportunity to build relationships, create essential life skills, and explore future opportunities. Following its curriculum, it allows students to understand and develop healthy relationships.  Students learn through fun activities, games, and experiences.
